Turbine and components sit comfortably in the existing weir, the structure originally housed a pre war hydro system most of which vanished some time ago.

The fish ladder (to the right) and weir are all original structures.

More power could be extracted however the flow is high after recent rainfall and this scheme will still run in an average low season. Now, run the video and note how  the water flow has changed ...

Grid connect cabinet permits direct turbine connection and export interface.
Power straight from the turbine is always available for direct use.
Grid Connect also extends operating head range right down to 1metre ... thats right, we're still making and exporting power at this ultra low head.
